Halloween Costume Parade, trick-or-treating, and Halloween activities for families and kids of all ages on College Avenue.
11am – 4pm: Participating College Avenue restaurants and merchants will be passing out candy and extending special offers and activities! Visit GoldenBug (5520 College Avenue) where kids can decorate and add a paper-pumpkins to their tree.
11am – 2pm: Head to the Oakland Public Library – Rockridge Branch (Parking Lot, 5366 College Avenue) for:
- Kids’ craft tables led by MOCHA
- Miss Salaneous with her accordion singing childrens’ songs
- Slightly spooky stories for ages 2-7 with Erica
- Germar the Magician magic shows
- Games and hands-on activities
- Pick up Trick-or-Treat bags for the kids courtesy of Kelly S. Wright State Farm
12pm – 2pm: Visit the outdoor courtyard of College Avenue Presbyterian Church & Rockridge Little School (951 College Avenue) to enjoy:
- All-ages Dance Party with DJ Danny Santos spinning groovesome Halloween Classics
- Candy for the kiddos
- Information on Thanksgiving Meals (including on how to donate or how to receive)
11am – 2pm: Enter a Costume Contest for Kids, Families, and Pets Between Alcatraz and Broadway on College Avenue. Entries can be submitted on social media (just tag #rockridgeoakland or @rockridgeoakland) or by emailing marketing@rockridgedistrict.com from anywhere on College Avenue between 11am – 2pm. The Rockridge District Association is offering prizes to a creative kid, freaky family, and furry friend.
- Kids: Best Costume wins $50 to GoldenBug and $50 to Bella Vita
- Families: Best Costumes wins $100 in Rockridge Gift Cards of your choice!
- Pets: Best Costume wins $50 to Cole Hardware
