The Solano Avenue Association invites families to see what makes Solano Avenue a wonderful place. The shopping district is rolling out the welcome mat to invite you inside. There will be:
- live music & entertainment
- specials at local businesses
- kids’ fun zone at 1830 Solano Ave including balloon art, face-painting, and bubbles
The event will run the one-mile length of Solano Avenue from The Alameda to San Pablo Avenue (in Berkeley/Albany). It will feature outside vendors including entertainers, government and non-profit agencies, and perhaps some carefully selected works from regional artisans, jewelers, and makers. Families may enjoy live entertainment in Peralta Park or face painting (near 1451 Solano).
Solano Avenue will remain open to vehicle traffic (not a closed-street festival like the Stroll) and the program is rain or shine.
