What other Parents are Saying
Word of mouth is often the way most parents find a swim class for kiddos. That’s why we love the things we’re hearing about American Swim Academy®:
All the team members have been amazing! They’ve gone above and beyond by being so friendly, laughing, and smiling with my baby. It really makes a difference and creates such a warm, welcoming environment. We appreciate them so much!” ~ Kendall, satisfied parent
My daughter has been attending since she was just 6-8 months old, and it has been an incredible journey. Her first teacher, Ms. Jill, was so gentle, patient, and encouraging–she gave my daughter the confidence to continue swimming to this day. This academy provides a warm, supportive environment where children can learn to swim while truly enjoying the water. I’m so grateful for the positive experience and the skills my daughter is gaining. ~ Anji, satisfied parent
What to Bring to Your Lesson
- Swimsuit & Towel
- Swim Diaper: Children who are not potty-trained must wear a disposable swim diaper underneath a reusable swim diaper with a snug fit around the legs. If your child is under three, they must be accident-free for at least six months before swimming without a double swim diaper. Swim diapers are available to purchase at each location.
- Swim Cap & Goggles: Though not required, a cap and goggles can improve your kid’s swimming experience because long hair is heavy and can make swimming more difficult. PRO TIP: It’s also a good idea to write your kid’s name on their goggles in permanent marker.
- NO floaties: ASA does not recommend water wings or flotation suits since they give parents and new swimmers a false sense of security. ASA teaches students safety skills and how to love and respect the water, so no floaties are required!
