Looking for a summer adventure your kids will be talking about for weeks? Dinos Alive has stomped into Oakland, transforming The Henry J Kaiser Center for the Arts into an immersive prehistoric dinosaur experience packed with giant animatronic dinos, interactive exhibits, and family-friendly fun.
Thanks to the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts for sponsoring this post. We visited this installation and were delighted by the moving dinos!

The Dinos Alive walk-through experience takes families back millions of years to a world where dinosaurs ruled the earth. Expect towering, moving dinosaurs, immersive Jurassic environments, hands-on activities for curious young paleontologists, and even a virtual aquarium where you can toss a ball at ancient sea creatures and watch the water ripple.

Whether your child is fully dinosaur-obsessed or just loves a big adventure, this is the kind of outing that delivers plenty of “WOW.”

For a sibling who needs a special one-on-one date with a parent, Dinos Alive could be a special outing.
Tickets are on sale from now through the end of July.
What to expect at Dinos Alive:
🦖 Life-size moving dinosaurs, including fan favorites like the T-Rex, Velociraptor, and Stegosaurus.
🦕 Interactive kids’ activities (for big kids, we recommend splurging for the Virtual Reality add-on)
🌊 Immersive virtual aquarium
📸 Great family photo ops
packed with big visual moments worthy of your camera roll
Heads up: You’ll be drawn to exit through the gift shop (lots of cool dino merch), but look to the left instead and don’t miss the interactive coloring station. Your creation can come to life onscreen. (If you’re lucky, you might be able to focus on that as your grand finale!)
