With its easy-to-find-parking venue and affordable prices, University Village’s recreation program one of my favorite resources for Berkeley, Albany, and El Cerrito families.
Affiliated with UC Berkeley, but open to all, this recreation program is currently open for children to sign up online for the following activities:
- Basketball
- Aerial Arts
- Circus
- Chess
- Gymnastics
- Soccer
- Skateboarding
Classes include opportunities for babies and toddlers, too! Gymnastics starts at 9 months, for example.
Soccer includes a parent participation version for little kids and classes for older children.
Classes are discounted for University Village residents and for all UC Berkeley students and employees.
University Village offers a very full schedule throughout the week, so check the listings for dates and prices.
