Already known for offering spectacles of technology and creativity, the annual Maker Faire is even more visually satisfying now that it occurs on Historic Mare Island, surrounded by water.
For an admission fee, families get access to a fairgrounds of sorts, where exhibitions, hands-on activities, and vendors of DIY kits (and food!) come together to offer an all-day adventure.
Special guests include Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame and Mario the Maker Magician. Plus, more robots than you can imagine.
When and Where is the Maker Faire in the Bay Area in 2024
Maker Faire on Mare Island will take place on October 19th and 20th with a special “field trip” day on Friday, October 18th for homeschooling families and organizations who want to visit with their groups.
Our resident Maker Faire-enthusiast dad says, “Arrive at the parking lot before the Faire opens for the best experience with both parking and access to activities.”
As of this writing, advance tickets are 20% discounted from the door price.
