G & M Farms is everything you’d ever want in a pumpkin patch: all the Fall colors; old-timey cute touches (think sunflowers planted in old bathtubs); and it feels family-run. Their big attraction is a cornfield maze. Six acres of corn maze with twist and turns that from above creates a scene that changes yearly. This year’s corn maze is a celebration of Wizard of Oz.
The pumpkin patch portion of G & M Farms couldn’t be cuter. Grab a red Radio Flyer wagon and pick from rows of perfectly placed round pumpkins. Though they aren’t grown on site, I appreciate the fact that you’re picking in grass. Each pumpkin, no matter the size, is $8 and comes with a cute decorative gourd. My boys each picked one and I didn’t even have to swap them out for prettier ones – now that’s a good patch.
Once you’ve picked your pumpkin, the real fun begins. Ride the cow train through a corn maze, hop on a pony, drive the pedal carts, roll around in the corn pit (my boys’ favorite!) and get lost in the mini hay maze. There’s also farm animals to greet and a whole educational piece to explore. Lift tabs to find out if pigs are smart? Do pigs sweat? If goats eat anything? You’ll have to go to find out.
Plan your visit to G & M Farms Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze
Ride tokens are 2 for $10 or 5 for $20. CASH ONLY. You’ll need tokens for the cow train, pedal carts, and pony rides. The mini hay bale maze and corn box are free.
G & M Farms is located in Livermore just off the I-580. The cornfield maze and pumpkin patch are open everyday, however the rides and BBQ offerings are only open on weekends.
The farm is open October 1 until October 30. For specific hours and cornfield maze admissions (they change for weekends/weekdays) check their site and check your pockets before returning home – corn everywhere. Happy pumpkin hunting!
