KidTopia in Fremont, East Bay’s Largest Indoor Play Center

This profile of KidTopia Fremont was written by contributor, Jessica Manrique.

My kids and I could easily be entertained for the entire day at KidTopia, a huge indoor play space that allows children to explore, discover, and play using their bodies and imaginations. My family loved KidTopia and the kids are already begging to return.

Right when I walked in, I noticed the clean smell! Shoes are not allowed inside the play space at all unless you’re using the restrooms or snack area, so bring socks or buy a pair.

KidTopia is inviting, clean, and well-equipped

KidTopia is well-equipped with water fountains, snacks in their vending machines, and changing tables in restrooms, a win-win for the whole family. Surrounding benches with cubbies make it easy for parents to relax and watch their kids at a safe distance.

Pro tip: If you plan to come with two under two, make sure you bring another chaperone. We learned the hard way that there are so many places to hide. Although the play structures are pretty safe, many ups and downs and tight corners allow children to potentially get stuck and not know how to find their way out.

KidTopia has separate zones for infants, toddlers, and little kids, but we all know kids like to be curious and wander off. We tried a little extra to keep our kiddos in their designated areas.

At the far end of the play space is the Creative Zone where you can get creative with dress-up clothes and pretend play. They seem to have thought of everything to encourage little imaginations. KidTopia has a big ice cream truck to climb in, a kitchen for pretend cooking, a whole dress-up station where you literally can get a makeover head to toe with a hair salon, costumes, and even an area to act as a window model display!

In the middle of the KidTopia indoor play space is the Crawler Zone for infants to age three. Equipped with ball pits, giant floor piano, and many more activities to nourish and develop their minds.

Still looking for more exciting and active play structures? The entire back of the venue is a big padded obstacle course filled with slides, ball pits, zip line, and fun tunnels to wear them out before naptime. Yes, please!
