We’ve visited a handful of Napa/Sonoma wineries with kids in tow, and Larson Family is the one we keep coming back to. The dirt road driving up to the winery seems unassuming, but once on the grounds – it’s beautiful.
Head to the tasting room first. While you enjoy some wine, don’t worry as your children make themselves right at home. Find a mini table with coloring books and crayons, friendly (big) dogs to pet, and huge open doors inviting your kids to the outdoor space.
Outside you’ll find shaded picnic tables, bocce ball, corn hole, ladder golf, push toys like tractors and cars, and a huge grassy field with a old tractor for climbing in. There’s no food/snacks served at the winery so be sure to pack your own cheese, crackers, cookies and juice boxes.
Larson Family is located at 23355 Millerick Rd, Sonoma, CA 95476, beyond Viansa but before you reach downtown Sonoma from the Bay Area. It is open daily from 10am – 5pm. Feel free to reserve a picnic table ahead of time through their website. Or just bring your own blanket and chairs – no reservation required.
