Park Report: San Leandro Marina Park

If you haven’t yet discovered San Leandro’s Marina Park, read on. With a flat, waterfront path with a rocky shoreline for walking, biking, scootering, and pushing a stroller, this location offers a view of the Bay that can’t be beat on a sunny day.

Numerous planes fly overhead as they approach the Oakland Airport, thrilling little ones as if the two playgrounds were not enough. Public bathrooms are available. A wide-open grassy field invites a game of soccer, football, Wiffle ball, or frisbee—or simply a picnic. Marina Park is a 20-minute drive from Oakland.
