Grand Opening Celebration & You’re Invited

On Saturday, May 3, the place to be is the Y for Youth Community Festival in San Francisco to officially open the new Dogpatch YMCA. It is a free, family-friendly event for all ages, filled with:

  • live music and dance
  • STEAM & sensory activities for kids
  • face painting & bubbles
  • family yoga classes
  • mini pickleball play and youth obstacle course
  • food and refreshments
  • themed photo booth
  • prizes!
  • an appearance by Clifford the Big Red Dog
  • nearby paddleboarding & beach party

The new Dogpatch YMCA at Crane Cove Park is a beautiful, updated facility with wellness programs, exercise classes, and gorgeous views of the Bay. Attending the festival is a great opportunity for families to explore the Y’s offerings and activities, from youth development and teen mentorship to sports and summer camps.

Crane Cove Park is a 7-acre park with footpaths and beachfront access.

Plan Your Visit to Y for Youth Community Festival

Saturday, May 3, 2025 | noon – 4 pm
Location: Dogpatch Y at Crane Cove Park, 701 Illinois St, SF
Parking: Parking can be tough; we recommend public transportation, carpooling, and ride shares. There is metered street parking around the park (with more options just west of 3rd Street). The UCSF parking garage is on the corner of Mariposa and Illinois.
Alternative Transport:  Use the Crane Cove drop-off zone for ride shares. The T line runs along 3rd Street, disembark at 17th Street & Illinois. If you travel by bike or scooter, the Bay Trail runs through the park.
