Sold Out: 2021 Teddy Bear Tea in Walnut Creek

As of October 10, 2021, all seatings are sold out. Pinkies up! The popular annual Christmas tea party in Walnut Creek, Teddy Bear Tea at The Gardens at Heather Farm, returns to kick off the holiday season. The in-person event will take place on December 4 and 5, with two seatings each day at 11 am and 3 pm. We recommend this tea service for children age one to eight.

Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, October 9 at 9 am for members at the Family level or higher. The general public can purchase tickets on Monday, October 11 at 9 am. In previous years, this event sold out in one day. If you are interested in snagging a spot, please join their mailing list and/or buy a family membership to secure priority access.

Historically, each seating includes high tea-themed food, small sandwiches, and decaffeinated tea or juice, followed by sweet treats in a large buffet. Children can explore “Bearland” for a festive photo opp, win prizes from a raffle, and may even spot a sugar plum fairy. Come dressed in fancy clothes to make the experience even more special. Seats are assigned in advance and you will likely be sitting with other families.

Bring your own teddy bear friend or purchase one in the gift shop in advance. New this year, purchased bears will be placed at your table to greet your child on the day of the tea. An online preview of the adorable bears will be posted to The Garden’s website on October 9.

Event organizers have reduced the number of tickets available for each seating to provide more space for attendees. Contra Costa County COVID-19 mandates will be enforced. (Be sure to check their website for COVID-19 mandate updates.) Currently, all guests over the age of 12 must show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of the event.
