Youth on Course: Kids Play Golf for $5 or Less

We wanted to share this really cool program for young people to play golf at a deep discount. Youth on Course members can play golf at over 1,300 participating courses for $5 or less.

There aren’t many options for kids to be active and play sports right now because of pandemic restrictions. Golf is one of the few activities my kids can do this summer with their friends while keeping socially distant. The Youth on Course programs give them the opportunity to play golf with their friends at local courses and not cost our family a lot of money. It’s an amazing program that gets them out on the course and off screens. I am so glad we signed up for the program.

The program is good for both Par 3 Courses and 18 hole courses.

Youth on Course is for young golfers ages 6 to 18 to play at many participating courses. In addition to deeply discounted golf rounds for children, Youth on Course offers a caddie program, paid high school internships, and college scholarships.

At this time, golfers are required to have face masks for times when social distance is prohibited. You will probably not have to wear them for the entirety of your game if playing with household members, but when you come in contact with other groups.

How to join Youth on Course

Membership cost varies based on region. The price is set in each region by the Allied Golf Association. Here in Northern California, it is $20 per year and runs for the full calendar year (expiring on December 31) or on your 19th birthday.

In order to join, you must be at least 6 years old. After signing up, you’ll complete a brief set of questions, and then you’re ready to play. You’ll book tee times before you get to the course via phone or website using your membership card number.

You can join at youthoncourse.org/join.
