Classroom Matters provides a customized program for students in grades K through 12 to help them excel in school, develop executive function skills, and take ownership of their learning.

Ignite your child's passion for math. This dynamic enrichment program for ages 6-16 transforms challenging problems into intuitive and accessible concepts. Kids develop problem-solving skills and confidence through theoretical instruction, hands-on exercises, games, and math puzzles.

Student-centered tutoring for Pre-K, TK, K-12, and older students in English Language Arts. Additional subjects, too

The Kumon Math and Reading programs cover everything from counting to calculus, and phonemics to Shakespeare for ages 3+.

Children ages 5–12 learn to set goals with coaches who help them build math and literacy skills on personalized educational software, and collaborate on interactive design challenges and games.

Educational therapy from kindergarten to college. Services include reading/dyslexia, writing/dysgraphia, math/dyscalculia, and executive function coaching. Online coaching available.

Lindamood-Bell serves children with learning challenges or a previous diagnosis such as dyslexia or autism spectrum disorder as well as those seeking to enhance skills. One-on-one diagnosis and instruction available.

Mathnasium your friendly math-only learning center. They help kids in grades 2-8 understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them. Mathnasium @home is available online.

MES coaches students in reading, math, executive functioning, writing, APs and IBs, Spanish, and French. All MES coaches have advanced degrees in teaching, classroom experience, and add'l training to support students with ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning differences.

Ages 7-12 explore their creativity through fun, project-focused coding workshops that include digital art, animated stories, and game development (with a little logic and math mixed in!). Offering 8-Week Sessions and/or one-day "drop-ins". Financial assistance available upon request.

The Shoong Family Chinese Cultural Center (SFCCC) offers Mandarin and Cantonese language, arts and culture for grades K–9 through both after-school and Saturdays. Located in Oakland Chinatown since 1953—your child will grow in both language and community.

The flagship after-school program, Code Coaching®, combines a super-small 2:1 teaching ratio with an individualized curriculum so kids are able to move at their own pace learning computer programming. Larger classes also available.

Village Kids Club hosts focuses on math classes for after-school enrichment for K-5 students following the Alameda USD school calendar.

At Writopia Lab, they foster joy, literacy, and critical thinking in children and teens from all backgrounds through creative writing. Workshops are run by published authors and are 15 weeks long and meet for 1.5 hours each week after-school.
