Learn about the African thumb piano and see Kalimba King Carl Winters perform. The Kalimba King will give a high-energy, interactive performance featuring educational songs, jazz, pop & blues played on 12 kalimbas (African thumb pianos). This program is part of a very special Saturday celebrating the Art of the African Diaspora. At 2 PM, artists from the Art of the African Diaspora exhibits will meet across the street at Kaleidoscope Coffee for a special Artists’ Talk. Then at 3:15 PM, meet the artists at the West Side Branch Library for a special Artists’ Reception.
