Open May 27: Meadow Home Spray Park in Concord

About 30 minutes from Berkeley is a sweet little splash pad in Concord. My kids had a blast! My youngest was timid at first but the park’s setup made it easy for her to get acclimated. There’s a baby/toddler area with a small slide, cute spray features, and generally less water.

Near the spray park is a traditional play structure so children can play in both areas. There isn’t a lot of shade on site. There are about a dozen picnic tables and a lawn near the spray park. Vendors sell drinks and cool treats near the entrance closest to the parking lot.

The spray park area itself was clean, but the surrounding grassy area and picnic tables were untidy. I saw lots of beer bottle tops, sticky spilled ice cream, and general trash. This may have been due to the Memorial Holiday and the park not being cleaned up yet. Either way, I’d definitely recommend wearing water shoes to avoid a misstep!

Plan your visit to Meadow Homes Spray Park in Concord

The location is close to The Veranda, an easy place for grabbing dinner or a cool treat after water time. (Don’t forget to check out The Veranda’s awesome vertical playground!) I probably wouldn’t drive out there from Berkeley as my only destination, but it’s a good option to keep in my back pocket when I’m already in Concord or for (925) families needing a quick spot to get wet on a hot day.
