This year’s list of family-friendly Easter activities is brought to you by Lake Chabot Marina & Cafe. Hop on over to Lake Chabot for Easter adventures and sweet treats from March 20 through May 1. Easter 2022 is Sunday, April 17.

This Easter is shaping up to be eggcellent! We see municipal egg hunts, in-person church services, and brunches out on the town. Some Covid restrictions may be in place, but we’re happy to see many of the usual Easter festivities return.

Easter on the Water at Lake Chabot

March 20 to May 1, family pontoon ride on a styled patio boat, Lake Chabot, Castro Valley. Bring your little ones to the lake for a memorable Easter season. Lake Chabot is a lovely spot for family-friendly boat trips. They make it easy to book an outing and get two hours on a deluxe spring-styled patio boat with treats. March 20, Easter Bunny’s Carrot Farm Photo Experience, Dixon. Reserve your spot for a family visit to the Easter Bunny’s carrot farm. The base price is $25. It looks like some activities cost extra.​

Friday, April 2 Kids Night at Twirl, Alameda. Reserve your spot for children ages 4 to 9 to have a kids’ evening out creating a spring collage. Art materials are provided, but food is not. 6 pm to 8:30 pm for $30. Masks required.

Weekends April 2 through April 17. River Fox Easter Egg Express, Sacramento. Ride on open-air train cars for an hour before an egg hunt and Easter crafts. Reserve a seat on the Easter Egg Express >

Sundays April 3, 10 & 17, Tilden Merry Go Round, Berkeley. Enjoy the magic of Tilden’s Merry Go Round this spring during one of its Easter events. Choose from Breakfast with Easter Bunny or Easter Bunny Tea Party. The events include unlimited rides, photos with the Easter Bunny, egg hunt and more. Purchase your ticket >

April 9 – 10 & 16 – 17, Hip Hoppin’ Historic Tram Tour, Angel Island State Park. Bring the family on this one-hour tram tour of Angel Island to learn about the island’s history and enjoy the beautiful views of the bay. Kids will receive an Easter basket. Book your spot >

April 10, Easter Bunny Photos and Egg Hunt, Oakland. Hop over to Kidz Play Zone in West Oakland for family photos with the Easter Bunny, plus an egg hunt. Reserve your spot >

Happy Easter from 510families

April 16, 11 am. Family Easter Party, Berkeley. Visit Easter Bunny for photos, hop in the bouncy house, do Easter-themed crafts, and enjoy a full lunch together at Claremont Club & Spa. $50 per child, $60 per adult. April 16, 8:30 am or 10 am. Muffins and Photos with Bunny, Livermore. Enjoy a morning filled with muffins, snacks, games, crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny. Advance reservations are required. $10 per person; children 2 years and under are free and don’t require a ticket. Register here >

April 16, Easter Bunny in a Helicopter, San Carlos. Spend the day at Hiller Aviation Museum and see the Easter Bunny arrive by helicopter. April 16, Spring Tea Party and Succulents Bracelet Workshop, Oakland. Enjoy a garden Spring Tea party and succulent workshop. The parent-child event includes planting little succulents in a teacup to take home, completing a nature scavenger hunt, and making a Spring craft. Plus the adults learn to make a succulent bracelet. April 16 & 17, Easter Weekend Train Ride, Felton. The Roaring Camp Railroads Easter train sounds delightful, especially if your little one loves trains.
