Garden of D’Lights in Walnut Creek is a sweet outdoor activity full of twinkly magic — and a wonderful way to spend an evening when it gets dark so early. The event will run from November 21, 2025 through January 11, 2026.
This post is sponsored by Ruth Bancroft Garden.

Ruth Bancroft Garden, a 3-acre facility in Walnut Creek, is lighting up its outdoor gardens with thousands of lights, art installations, and lasers to create a beautiful nighttime stroll for guests. Succulents, cacti, and trees will become colorful sculptures. This annual event is the ideal way to introduce children to the magic of a holiday light show without overstimulating them.

The event will run from November 21, 2025 through January 11, 2026, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, plus select weekdays in December. Three admission times, 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 pm., are designed to ensure the space is not overcrowded.
Children will be invited to play a special bingo game as they explore the garden.
This is such a fun, whimsical, Dr. Suessian array of lights and beautiful plants – this is quickly becoming a Christmas tradition for my family.
The organizers estimate that visitors will spend an hour to an hour and a half walking through the gardens. Buy tickets >
