Indoor Play Space in Berkeley: Children’s Club House

Children’s Club House in South Berkeley is a welcoming spot for parents seeking fun for their tiny tots. With drop-in play hours, music and art classes, storytimes, and birthday party rentals, this cozy, colorful spot may be small, but it’s packed with engaging activities that kept my three-year-olds happily entertained for a couple of hours.

Children’s Club House, South Berkeley

My three-year-olds were thrilled to explore the space. Inside, they found a train table, a small ball pit, blocks, a climbing structure with a slide, a play kitchen, and a handful of riding toys—including a boat, a car, and a tricycle. There’s also a small swing, a climbing wall, plus shelves of puzzles, books, and blocks to keep little hands busy.

The space is bright, clean, and well-maintained. Weekdays aren’t too crowded, making it easy to keep an eye on multiple kids at once — or to actually hang out with a friend if you go together. Walk-ins are welcome, parking can be hit or miss, and there are restrooms and a changing station available on-site. There’s a small kitchen in the back where little ones can pause for a snack break

Heads Up: Book online to save time at the entrance. No shoes are allowed, so remember to bring socks.

What kids love about Children’s Club House

The wide variety of activities makes this a great spot for younger kids, though those over four may find it less engaging. The climbing structures are perfect for toddlers to burn off energy, while the play kitchen provides a fun space for imaginative play. New walkers and crawlers will appreciate the padded floors throughout and the sensory toys.
