Thanksgiving Camps & No-School Day Camps in November

Call of the Wild outdoor nature camps are for kids aged 5-10 to enjoy a fun balance of learning & play, forest hikes, nature connection, friendship, storytelling, reading, journaling, games, boating, science exploration, biology, animal rights, and environmental stewardship.

El Cerrito Martial Arts School Break Camp runs 8 am to 6 pm for ages 4–11, with beginner-friendly Jiu-Jitsu, active games, creative projects, and team-building. Kids enjoy a safe, structured environment with supervision, fitness, and fun while schools are closed.

Esther Hearts Art in North Berkeley offers engaging art programs for children ages 5 to 10, led by Esther Hilsenrad, a passionate educator with 20 years of experience. Small group camps inspire creativity through exploring mediums, self-expression, and learning from other artists.

Join this caring staff for a week of games, art, food projects, and community fun! With 25 years of Bay Area experience, we offer structured and free play for ages 5–10, plus a youth leader program for ages 11+.

MOCHA Art Camps invite children ages 5-12 to explore, create, and get messy through hands-on projects led by Teaching Artists. Campers build skills, spark imagination, and express themselves while making new friends in a supportive, creative environment.

School Break Art Camps in Oakland for ages 4–11! Fun, hands-on projects using paint, sculpture, and recycled materials. Small group setting with lots of creativity. Lots of dates for local private and public schools.

The Busy Bee No School Camps keep kids buzzing with fun! Perfect for ages 3 through 3rd grade, campers enjoy arts & crafts, group games, tumbling, outdoor play, and more in a safe, active, and creative environment.

Wild Child’s seasonal day camps offer nature-based, play-filled adventures for children ages 3–8. With themes like Wild Fall and Winter Wonders, campers enjoy outdoor exploration, sensory play, crafts, music, and movement in a nurturing, screen-free environment during school breaks.

Students, age 5-12, learn parkour, gymnastics, and play movement games which are combined into a Live-Action adventure game that narrates the parkour obstacles into stories of castles, jungles and caves.

Ages 6 to 12 can spend time out on the land, exploring the coastline, playing games, doing outdoor cooking, and caring for small animal friends.

Ages 5 to 11. Maximum FUN exploring many different sports including tennis, soccer, basketball, flag football, dodgeball, and capture the flag.

Art camps give children and teens, ages 5+ the space to explore their creativity and make new friends with art. All materials are included.

Ages 3.5 to 11 do capoeira movement, music, dance, art, mindfulness, and language learning. Junior Counselors ages 12+.

MUST APPLY BY NOV. 3. Grades K-6. This holiday's Musical Theater Camp is inspired by A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. No final show this year.

For ages 7-11, Camp Brushstrokes offers a creative space for kids to explore artistic expression.

Grades 1 to 5. East Bay SPCA Animal Camp offers animal interaction, crafts, and games.

Kids, grades K to 5, enjoy fun art and drama games at Mary Ellen's home studio. All art, gardening, and cooking supplies are included in the fees. Themes for fall break include Harry Potter and appreciation.

Warriors & Valkyries are teaming up to offer basketball camp for youth 5-17, of all skill levels and abilities.

Campers, age 7-11, will write Thanksgiving songs, learn a variety of instruments, and design album art.

Ages 12-17. Each day will be full of delicious food and hands-on cooking.

Ages 6-13, soccer camp offered as half and full day.

For ages 5-12, Piedmont Rec offers 3 days of Thanksgiving camps in a variety of topics. More info on p. 49 of the linked recreation guide.

Ranch and naturalist themed day camps for Prek-6th grade.

Ages 4 to 12. Campers will design their day in real-time by choosing from a variety of activities offered at once. Lunch included.

Camps have different themes for active, creative 1st-5th graders.

Grades K through 8. Get outside. Pick exciting survival themes by day.

Kids ages 5-10 will learn yoga poses, meditation, and mindfulness. We'll do crafts, collaborative art, and a bit of running around.
