The Black Excellence Gathering at Redwood Day includes a vibrant celebration of Black culture through art, music, dance, poetry, photo booth, and community connections. Enjoy special performances, curated book selections, and inspiring remarks offering encouragement and a vision for the path ahead. The theme this year is Black Excellence: Doing the Work, Together.
The event is free and open to the community.  Free food provided by Mystical Mixes and Cafe Noir’ will be served between 10:30 – 11:15 a.m.

The Keynote Speaker is W. Kamau Bell & Family
Special Guest include Carroll Fife (District 3 Oakland City Council member) and Queen Iminah Ahmad.
Please register in advance so they can plan accordingly. Walk-ins are welcome.
