San Francisco Opera is thrilled to bring Bohème Out of the Box to Christie Park in the heart of Emeryville. San Francisco Opera is taking opera out of the Opera House and bringing it on a shipping-container-turned-stage. Audiences will be able to enjoy a one-hour version of Puccini’s famous La Bohème performed live in Italian with English narration and keyboard accompaniment. Bring your family and friends and enjoy this free performance, which will bring powerful emotions and soaring music in a relaxed environment.
Workshop for kids at 1:30PM
Families with young children are invited to participate in a free First Act Workshop 30 minutes before showtime at all performances of Bohème Out of the Box. Explore Puccini’s La Bohème and get to know the passionate artists in the story. Bring along a favorite stuffed-animal friend and dance to “Musetta’s Waltz,” one of the most famous melodies in all of opera.
