Get those book totes ready! Join Children’s Fairyland in Oakland for its annual return of the Children’s Book Festival. Talented authors, illustrators, and educators will take over the storybook theme park with a curated selection of kid-lit titles. This year’s headlining speakers include Aida Salazar, Annie Barrows, Innosanto Nagara, Nidhi Chanani, Viet Thanh Nguyen, and Minnie Phan. Visitors will enjoy read-alouds by authors and see live art demonstrations, shop for books and get them autographed in person, celebrate the incredible 8-12 year olds from the Youth Writers’ Workshop, and much more!
