Filipino Barrio Fiesta is the biggest, brightest, and only celebration of the Filipino American community in the Tri-Valley area, bringing thousands of people from all walks of life and backgrounds to Downtown Livermore during Filipino-American History Month (FAHM) in October.
Receiving a proclamation from the City of Livermore in 2016 for FAHM, they have since continued to celebrate Filipino-American culture and history through exquisite food, unique language, expressive art, harmonious music, colorful fashion and energetic dance. They provide education through memorable interactive experiences, games, exhibits, guest speakers, visual mediums, media, and more.
Filipino Barrio Fiesta is free, open to all, and family friendly! This year it is being held on Sunday October 5th in Downtown Livermore at the Bankhead Plaza, 2400 First Street and surrounding areas. Last year the event spanned two and a half blocks, across several locations, with multiple activities.
Although, Filipino Barrio Fiesta is a free non-ticketed event, they would love to know who is attending. Click on the link and let them know you’re celebrating.
