Diwali marks the beginning of the new year according to the Indian lunar calendar. This jubilant holiday is observed by millions across India and its diaspora, including Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs worldwide.

In honor of Diwali, The Asian Art Museum is pleased to welcome the internationally renowned Roobina Karode, Curator and Director of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) in Delhi. Her talk entitled “We Have Stories to Tell…” reflects on the journey of building KNMA’s exceptional collection of modern and contemporary art from South Asia.

The day continues with events every hour to celebrate this wonderful holiday.
