Free Sailboat Rides at Cal Sailing Club Open House

During Open Houses Cal Sailing Club offers FREE introductory sailboat rides to the general public aboard our fleet of keelboats and dinghies. Children must be at least 5 years of age and accompanied by an adult. Each Open House runs from 1-3pm. Rides are given on a first come first served basis. Sign up in front of the club house. Please try to arrive early, as depending on the conditions and the amount of people, the sign-up/rides may end before 3pm. Children are welcome but must be at least 5 years of age and accompanied by an adult. CSC recommends that first timers, small children and not-so-agile adults sail in larger keelboats.

Bring a strap for eyeglasses or sunglasses, a string to hold your cap on, shoes that can get wet (better avoid flip flops) and comfortable clothes including a windbreaker. A change of clothes can come in handy in case you get soaked. You can borrow foulies (heavy raincoats) and a PFD (life jacket, required).
