Pumpkin Patches range from the quaint, wholesome farm experience, all the way to the convenient urban bouncy house Halloween lollapalooza and newfangled floating pumpkin patch. My family generally leans more towards a farm experience, but my kids always crave a little more than just picking pumpkins. Happily we finally found a great compromise at Petaluma Pumpkin Patch and Amazing Corn Maze. With four kids, ranging from 7 to 14-years-old, Petaluma Pumpkin Patch checks all the festive boxes, from mazes to animals and yes, even the perfect pumpkin.

🎃 Petaluma Pumpkin Patch Amazing Corn Maze 🌽
We enjoy a wide-open pumpkin patch where we can hunt for and pick our perfect pumpkin directly from the vine. My family has visited many pumpkin patches over the years, but now that my eldest is a teenager, we also have to include a maze in our outing. And not just any maze; “it has to be hard, Mom!”.
The maze at Petaluma Pumpkin Patch is large, but approachable (last year, the maze we tried was crazy hard and took forever). We purchased the map postcard for $1 and were able to find our way to both towers and back within about 20 minutes (any longer and my 7-year-old would have exploded). Next time, my older boys want to try it at night (yikes! Not for me). Maze Cost: $9 per person (under 5 is free)

You can also enjoy many other free activities, from diving in the corn kernel sandbox and enjoying the cute cows, horses, and turkeys. There’s no admission or parking fee at this pumpkin patch, so you can pick and choose what looks fun and keep the prices reasonable. Pumpkins range from $5-$25, which you can pick off the vine or from a collection of pre-picked beauties.

It’s CASH ONLY! So plan for that. They do have ATMs on-site if needed.

The Bottom Line
Petaluma Pumpkin Patch has all the things you’d want at a pumpkin patch. We enjoyed the not-too-crazy-hard maze, as well as picking a pumpkin right off the vine. We skipped most of the other jumpy bouncy stuff and kept our total cost well under $100, which is a miracle with a family of six these days. So if you’re up for the drive, Petaluma Pumpkin Patch is worth the trip.
