About an hour drive from Berkeley and nicely set back from the freeway, Santa Rosa Pumpkin Patch in Sonoma County serves up that classic fall feeling, offering visitors scenic views and a traditional pumpkins patch experience. I recently took my 3 kids (ages 2-6) there for our annual pumpkin picking. There was plenty to see and do, and the kids had to be coaxed out when it was time to go.

Attractions at Santa Rosa Pumpkin Patch
This spacious pumpkin patch boasts a huge variety of activities for kids of all ages. Grab a wheelbarrow and head to the giant field to select your favorite pumpkins right off the vine.
Wear comfortable shoes for the huge corn maze. This year’s theme is Snoopy and the Peanuts gang. Look for thematic photo ops as you navigate your way to the exit.
There are two huge jumpy pillows that were a big hit for my kids. The cow train and hayride are also very popular. Younger kids can enjoy the pedal trike tractor races, corn play boxes, petting zoo, and hay bale pyramid with slide. Older kids can try out the pumpkin blasters, zip lines, rock climbing wall, and bungee trampoline.
