Guests of all backgrounds can expect an authentic, unapologetically Black experience rich with celebration. The Black Joy Parade is the largest free, family-friendly event of its kind in California that celebrates the Black experience and the Black community’s contribution to culture with over 20,000 people expected to join in.
The celebration is free to join, but donations are always appreciated.

The 2026 Black Joy Parade embraces the creative, multi-talented, and resourceful ones who continue to drive Black culture and community forward.
The Black Joy Parade is partnering with Black Infant Health to create a Lil’ Joy space near the main parade stage for young families with a nursing lounge, games, and storytime.
The parade begins at 12:30. The festival runs from 12:30 into the evening. Find a full schedule of events, performances, and vendors on their website >
