With classes for age 6 and up, Traverse Fitness is the coolest new thing in the East Bay for families who like parkour and ninja warrior athletics, ideal for kids who prefer individual challenges to team sports. At this warehouse-style facility in Richmond, kids (and adults) can run, jump, hang, and put their strength and agility to the test.

A massive American Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course is at the heart of the space. Investors in the gym include actual competitors from the television show American Ninja Warrior.
Currently they are partially reopened with a super cool outdoor obstacle rig and limited indoor classes and open gym hours. Check the schedule as it is subject to change.
Kids can earn wristbands as they achieve and demonstrate new levels of skill. There is a kid-size obstacle course as well, enabling students to practice skills at stations during classes, open gym, and birthday parties.

Birthday Parties at Traverse Fitness
My 12-year old thought this would be a great birthday party location, and the facility is available for a basic party priced at $200 for the first five participants and then $20 for each additional kid (up to 20 total). Learn more about Traverse Fitness parties here >
