Getting Started With Capoeira
Capoeira is a multi-dimensional Afro-Brazilian art form that combines martial arts, dance, acrobatics, music, and culture. It is an ideal activity to tap into the many ways that your child finds inspiration. Today it is practiced all over the world.
United Capoeira Association (UCA) – Hayward offers Capoeira classes for children as young as 3 through teenagers. They teach by empowering capoeiristas to celebrate their unique and powerful energies while teaching them how their individuality helps build community.
Children ages 3 to 5 can join Pre-Capoeira to experience the cultural art form through movement, music, and ritual in a fun and age-appropriate way. Pay $5 for your first class >
Children ages 6 to 12 join Youth Capoeira to build confidence, coordination, and skills building on the movement, music, culture, social awareness, and history. Pay $5 for your first class >
