Join Chrysalis Girls Adventures for a FREE family-friendly hike in Leona Heights Park! If you love redwoods, water, beautiful views, and an adventurous trail, you are going to love it!!!
Location: Leona Heights Park – York Trail (4444 Mountain Blvd, Oakland, CA, 94619). We will gather at the Leona Heights Park entrance on Mountain Blvd. (Street Parking on Mountain Blvd.)
What to expect: This is a moderately strenuous hike of 2.3 miles (roundtrip), alongside a beautiful forest stream in the redwoods! The trail is steep, slippery, and narrow in places. Wear appropriate clothing that can get dirty, sturdy footwear, and bring layers, water, a snack, sunscreen, and a hat. We’ll gathering at the trailhead for introductions, hike to the top, enjoy the views, then hike back down! All ages welcome; recommended for 3rd grade and up. At least one adult is asked to accompany their child.
