Making Stories - 510 Families

Making Stories

NOTE: This date/event is in the past. Keep browsing.

Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to join the Making Stories club that meets on the first Thursday of each month from 3:30-5 pm to write, illustrate, make, and tell their own stories.

This is a workshop, where kids can work alone, in pairs, or in small groups to write and illustrate stories. Follow a prompt, do a fun writing or drawing exercise, or free write.

Create  a book, a zine, a story, a kamishibai, a script or whatever!

They’ll set a date for people who want to read aloud their finished stories and celebrate, and they welcome stories to be added into the library collection.

Drop in, no registration required. New members always welcome.

Please note: In January, they’ll meet on the 2nd Thursday.
