Spotlight on 50 Years of Alameda Pediatric Dentistry

This post was sponsored by Alameda Pediatric Dentistry &amp Orthodontics. Congrats on 50 years of high-quality service to families! We love their ethos of putting all children at ease for dental care.

Alameda Pediatric Dentistry celebrates 50 years of providing care for pediatric patients in the Bay Area.

Since opening in 1971, Alameda Pediatric Dentistry has built a reputation for providing exceptional dental care for families. As they have grown, they have modernized operations and technology, yet their beginning as a small-town practice continues to define their values and company culture.

They are proud to offer convenient, compassionate, and comprehensive dental care to families in four locations: Alameda, Oakland, Pleasanton, & Brentwood. Alameda Pediatric Dentistry (“APD”) is the only pediatric dental office in the Bay Area with both orthodontics and a fully equipped, on-site sedation center. They can accommodate all special needs.

Legacy + Modern Dentistry = Customized Care at APD

APD has deep roots within the Alameda community. Several employees have worked at the practice for over 30 years (wow!). Some employees were APD patients when they were little and they continue providing the same attentive care they received as children.

Dr. Sharine Thenard, who became a partner in 2005, is one of those kids who grew up in the APD office. Dr. Mylinh Ngo partnered with APD in 2008 and brings immense empathy and expertise in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Thenard shares, “We have learned techniques and have different approaches we employ for each patient, as they are each special and unique. Because we have a full variety of services and every tool at our disposal, we provide a complete array of treatment options: preventative, restorative, nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and even general anesthesia administered in our office or at Kaiser hospital.”

What Families Can Expect at Alameda Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

Kids should begin seeing the dentist when their first teeth erupt, or by age one. When you bring your children into the care of gentle, Board-certified pediatric dentists, you are placing them into the hands of highly qualified doctors and a team whose life goals have led them to serve you. Families come back for treatment generation after generation. Come visit and let your children tell you why they keep winning Best of the Bay awards.

“Here at Alameda Pediatric Dentistry, what matters the most is that we leave a positive impact on kids in the Bay Area for decades to come. Our dentists not only treat kids today, but they prepare children for lifelong healthy smiles. We truly love to make kids smile!” ~ The Team at APD
