Come to Old Oakland on Thursday, June 20 for the Old Oakland Summer Stroll – a community-driven celebration of local food, art, and culture. From 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the historic neighborhood will come alive as restaurants and shops step onto the sidewalk to share their goods, joined by artists, musicians, and food vendors.
Family-friendly features include:
- Sidewalk games and activities by the MADE (Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment)
- Tasty Detroit pizza by Square Pie Guys for sale
- Live music and dance performances from local artists (including the Oakland Public Conservatory and Grown Women Dance Collective)
- Good stuff to buy from Old Oakland shops, artists, and restaurants (Popoca, the historic Swan’s Market, and more)
- Open hours in local galleries (including E14 Gallery, Seven Mirrors Gallery, and Omiiroo)
- A celebration of local creativity and community pride
