Trans Day of Visibility Celebration Coming to Lafayette
Community members are invited to gather at Lafayette Park Plaza on Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 PM for a joyful, family-friendly Trans Day of Visibility celebration hosted by Pride Action Lamorinda. The event will feature speakers, music, games, and opportunities for neighbors and families to connect.
This year’s celebration comes at a time when transgender people across the country are facing increasing political attacks on their rights and healthcare. Organizers say the moment makes community solidarity especially meaningful.
“Visibility is extremely important, but it’s not a safe option for some trans people right now,” said organizer Sarah Vickers-Webb. “That’s why it’s so important for allies and community members to show up with support and compassion.”
Families, neighbors, and allies are encouraged to attend and bring signs, flags, and their celebratory spirit.
