Messy Art Day is on April 19, 2026! Hosted by the El Cerrito Preschool Co-op, the event is open to the public with advanced reservations and a suggestion donation of $5 per person. Materials on hand will encourage children age five and under to explore colors, textures, and a variety of materials in a safe, fun and messy environment.
When we went in previous years, my kids had a blast even though they were too shy to strip down to their undies and sit in a bathtub of shaving cream, like some of the other attendees.  Bring a set of dry clothes for the ride home!
Children will explore various play stations at their own pace.
This year, the event will be Sunday, April 19, 2026. Timeslots are available for 10 am and 1.30 pm.
El Cerrito Preschool Co-op is located at 7200 Moeser Lane, El Cerrito, CA 94530 near the El Cerrito Community Center. Some activities and food trucks will also be available on Ashbury Street, between Moeser Lane and Waldo Avenue for kids over 5.
Messy Art Day is an event for children aged 2-5 years old and their caregivers. Please leave strollers outside.
