The San Francisco Symphony for Families
The SF Symphony is on a mission to expose children to the magic of live orchestral music. We like to highlight their kid-friendly programming so that families can take advantage of the best events to introduce their children to the symphony.
From shows that encourage little ones to get out of their seats when moved by the music to classic movie showings that entertain everyone, there are opportunities throughout the year to bring children into the grand building of Davies Symphony Hall, take a seat, and feel the music come to life.
Coming in May: The Wizard of Oz
At the next family-oriented San Francisco Symphony event, the beloved film The Wizard of Oz will be accompanied by a live orchestra. Perfect for families, whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering the wonders of “Oz” for the first time.
The SF Symphony will deliver a sweeping orchestral backing to Dorothy’s journey as she follows the Yellow Brick Road to Oz and faces the Wicked Witch of the West.
Where: Davies Symphony Hall, 201 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco
When: Wednesday, May 1 at 7:30 pm
