As part of 2026 Berkeley Streets Criterium, a local pro-amateur bicycle road race, they are offering Berkeley Streets Kids’ Clinic + Race! It’s free for kids and parents to join the kids’ bicycle skills clinic, a kids and family bike race, and FREE ice cream post-race.
What happens:
11 am – 11:45 am : Kids play and skills clinic hosted by Trek. Bring a bike + helmet.
11:45 am – 11:55 am: Kids race with medals and podiums for winners, hosted by Stackhouse De La Peña Trachtenberg Architects
noon: Free ice cream post clinic and race for the kids (while supplies last), hosted by Mr. Dewie’s Cashew Creamery.
Where: Meet at McGee and Hearst in Berkeley at Ohlone Park. Note that Hearst is closed between MLK and Sacramento for the bike race. Free parking at North Berkeley BART or street parking in the nearby neighborhood.
Who: Kids roughly between 5-10 years of age.
Food truck on site with drinks, tacos, and burritos for purchase.
Ohlone Park has a great kids’ playground to hang out before and after the event.
