Visit Downtown Hayward for the 5th Annual Hayward Lit Hop. Showcasing a variety of local writers’ groups performing at various venues. All ages are welcome. Free and Open to the Public.
The Lit Hop starts at 2:00 at the Hayward Heritage Plaza, across the street from the library, with a concert by the East Bay Symphonic Band.
Then at 3:00 with a big kickoff featuring the announcement of Hayward’s new Poet Laureate. Then Hayward’s outgoing Poet Laureate, Leticia Guzman, will read some of her work, along with runners-up and a few stars in the local literary firmament.
After that comes the “hopping” part of the Lit Hop: starting at 4:00, there will be readings throughout downtown Hayward, featuring:
