Uncle Jer’s Traveling Bee Show will bring live bees to the library! Learn about these fascinating insects through an engaging presentation for families.
How and why do bees pollinate plants? Why do bees swarm? Is there a bee shortage? Why are there different kinds of honey? Can I use honey as an antibacterial?
These questions and more will be answered in a lively presentation. Participants will learn about the fascinating society of bees, pollination, honey making and harvesting, bee reproduction, and the medicinal qualities of honey. They will feel and smell beeswax and honey frames, and taste different kinds of honey. Don’t forget the stars of the show! Participants will be able to see live bees working on a multitude of jobs!
