Led by reading specialists and seasoned educators, Words in the Wild storytimes are appropriate for all learners and encourage family members to join in the fun as well! Words in the Wild storytellers fill every minute with meaningful connection, enriching literacy experiences, movement, play, and lots and LOTS of giggles!
At the end of each Storytime experience, event organizers will give out free books courtsey of the Oakland Literacy Coalition. The learning specialists will also connect families with additional resources to support joyful, stress-free reading at home.
Ella Holton-McCoy, an alumnus of WITW Teaching Fellowship, will lead an outdoor Mindfulness and Meditation Storytime at Lake Temescal on Sunday, April 30th.
Storytime is a one-hour outdoor program! Organizers provide an alternative date in case of rain.
