My Tween & Teens Loved Trivium Escape Room in Emeryville

My family and I were treated by Trivium Games to escape from their new escape room, Ghost Patrol.

The Trivium Games storefront on San Pablo Blvd. near Arizmendi is easy to miss. That’s your first challenge. After you find the first doorway, a family-friendly, ghost-themed, interactive adventure is waiting for you and your family. Recommended for kids over age nine with an actively participating parent.

An extremely clever escape room in Emeryville

The Ghost Patrol Escape Room was a ninety minute experience with various puzzles unlocking more codes, riddles, and challenges to figure out the exciting ending (I don’t want to give anything away so this post is a little tricky to write!). Whenever we got stuck for just a little bit too long, the helpful staff would call us on one of the telephones and nudge us in the right direction.

Ghost Patrol is the first of (hopefully) many different experiences that Trivium will have available in Emeryville. My family of amateur detectives includes children ages nine through fifteen and two pretty nerdy parents. Each of us was engaged and enchanted with the various details throughout the experience. My older boys declared it was the best thing we’ve done in several months.

My tinkering husband said the the puzzles were especially clever and everything was done very well.

Trivium creates a special ‘extra’ challenge for all detectives under age twelve including an envelope with additional clues. Of all the little touches, Sawyer was super excited they knew his name. He was also presented the ‘Spectral Stethoscope’ that he was expected to share with us. The custom ghost-fighting stethoscope was used to read messages encoded in the ectoplasmic residue (AKA, slime) left behind by the ghosts throughout the puzzle rooms.
