Starting alternate Sundays in July and August foray into the shoreline and pond habitats to search out creatures large and small. This is a great time of year for bees, butterflies, dragonflies, and all sorts of interesting creatures both on land and among the rip-rap. Each Sunday’s sortie will reveal unexpected natural treasures.
Staff at the Visitor Center will provide binoculars and hand lenses to allow you to dive deep into each organism’s uniqueness. As you wind your way through the park, you will contribute to scientific knowledge by adding observations to iNaturalist.
Come to one or all outings. Meet on the lawn side of the visitor center. All varieties of naturalists are welcome!
Drop in; no registration required.
